Is there a place I can look up the breeding of the event horses? I am looking at the russian I think, he has a lovely horse.
(and he rode in a double?)
I think Vineyridge has a couple of recent posts that vent through the breeding of the horses in the Olympics. I don’t recall if she did it for every discipline but I think she might. Try searching for her posts over the last few weeks and you will probably find them.

There are five posts on the Breeding board from about a month ago that give the registry, sire, dam and dam sire of every horse who was nominated for the Olympics in eventing. Another 5 posts give the SJ breeding. And there is a spreadsheet done by Bornfree that gives the breeding of all the dressage horses.
The Russians both rode horse that are native to Russia. I have it as BUD, which stands for Budenny. Both Belarussians rode Trakehners.
Oh, I actually found the horse I was looking at. (But I knew I asked in the right place)
It was the horse from belarus, Trakhener bred…
