Bridle with cream piping ok for hunters?

I’m looking for a new bridle for my horse and I came across a lovely bridle but I fear it’s not appropriate for hunters. It’s a brown bridle but it has cream coloured piping on the browband and noseband. It’s called the ‘classique’ by ADT https://www.tackroomonline.com/arc-de-triomphe-classique-anatomical-bridle-w-flat-rubber-reins-br-001br.html
I’m guessing it’s too flashy but I just want some other opinions thanks!!

I personally wouldn’t use this in the hunter ring. Not just the cream piping but the buckle closures instead of hook studs is a bit unconventional for the hunters as well. Reins also look like they are rubber

I concur. It’s lovely, but it’s not a traditional hunter look. And as @inandout said, it’s not just the piping, it’s the buckle closures and rubber reins too.

Would this be your designated show bridle, or an everyday bridle you would also show in? How often do you show? What types of shows do you do, and what do you show in?

If your question is “I really love this bridle to use everyday, but would also need to use it for the occasional local rated hunter show - can I do that?” I would say sure, why not but maybe buy some leather laced reins to swap out with the rubber for shows.

If your question is “I really love this bridle and want to buy it as my dedicated hunter show bridle,” I’d say that probably isn’t the best idea.

I third these suggestions, for the same reasons. Not just the cream piping, but the buckle closures and rubber reins. Also not sure if the U-shaped browband is a very “hunter-y” look or not. Very pretty bridle, though!

I do believe CWD had/has a “Mademoiselle” hunter bridle with the cream piping option that seems very understated from what I remember seeing, but still not sure if that one would be too flashy as well.

Agreed with the others. I don’t mind the piping but the rest of the bridle is not appropriate for the hunters. If you want ADT for the hunters, look at the Tribute or the Imperial.

Just a personal comment, but the piping on a bridle doesn’t seem to last as well as the rest of the leather on a bridle.
