Such cool dogs. Every time I see one my heart says I need one… then I read about their activity levels etc, and I definitely do not need one.

His dna results are interesting. I would have pegged him for mostly catahoula; I always loved our brindle ones, more than the merles. I’m glad he’s still around!

Late to the brindle party! Have a nearly 9yo female Mountain Cur mix and an approx 15mo female pure Dane whose mama was Merle and daddy was brindle, so she has large splotches of brindle and faint fawn striping throughout her coat. We had another female brindle mix who was the sweetest thing ever. Love all the pics!

This was my Lacey - The Doberpei. She was a Shar Pei mix, we guess with Doberman. I adopted her completely by chance, or she adopted me. I went to the adoption event looking for a dog with spots, and I got one with stripes when she crawled into my lap. I would be her fourth and final owner. She kept getting returned to the shelter because she had too much energy. She discovered her inner couch potato when she lived with me, unless there was a ball.

Loving every single beautiful Brindle. Just realized that I had made this thread a while ago. In the past
year I came across another brindle. Tiger. I’m a brindle magnet !
I think this is my 4th brindle in 20 years. All ditch dogs. All lovely animals. My favorite color.
