Britain tops the medal tables

Well someone had to say it…

British athletes have won 19 medals in total at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, making Britain the most medalled nation at WEG

Consider the other medal winners who are based, indeed live, permanently in the UK and the fact that a lot of successful horses were UK bred and it’s a fantastic showcase for British Equestrianism and our systems and methods

Wheres the “like” button? Good on GB!

Well Done!!!

This is certainly a first. Well done Team GBR.

Absolutely thrilled that Great Britain did so very well! Especially the eventers-- they pretty much rock.

Due in most part to the PARA RIDERS !

whoop whoop British Event Team! Bring it, London 2012! So excited I may actually be living in London by then!

Looks like the lottery funding is working for GB sports all round.

I wonder why the USEF doesn’t offer an annual raffle of something nice as part of the membership fee. It might generate more memberships of all kinds. Heck, it’s probably not legal to do something like that in Kentucky or New York or wherever the legal domicile of the USEF is.

I guess GB would rather support horse sports than those 490,000 government workers.

GB supports all sports through lottery funding. WTF do government employees (however many) have to do with it ?

I imagine that if the 489,930 civil servants are “workers”, then they are indeed paid.
