Ooh, were you able to try the horse? I’m interested in a horse in Canada but travel restrictions are still in place . . . if you have a way around them, let me know!

No way currently around the entry restrictions from the US unless you are an essential worker or have immediate family here. Do you know anyone in the area who could do an initial trial ride for you and at least let you know if it’s an automatic no?
No - we cannot try the horse due to travel restrictions ): We did have had a contact in the area go out which has worked really well. I’d highly suggest you ask the trainer of the horse if they know of anyone in the area you could call and pay a fee to - just to sit on the horse - tell them exactly what information you are looking. Such a good experience as far as dealing with trying the horse etc - such nice people all the way around - I just love Canadians!

Teresa is wonderful, I’ve used her quite a few times. Not for pre-purchase, but I don’t doubt she would be thorough

And if Pico Banana wanted to share the general region where the interesting horse is located, I’m sure one of us here could recommend a trustworthy pro in the area to try the horse.
Dr. Rutherford might be an option. No personal experience using him for a PPE, but he deals with high performance horses. http://www.rutherfordequineveterinarian.ca/
OVLAC may also be an option. Not sure if its in their normal service area, but they are about 30-40 mins from Brockville. If they won’t travel, they have an on-property clinic, which is a great option for PPEs.
