Just venting! Broke my right pinky finger (avulsion fracture in the joints), slipped when getting on the tractor dragging my ring the other day and it bent ALL the way back with all my weight on it. Talk about HURT! Now I gotta wear a splint for 6 weeks, with all this work here AND having to ride. Not really easy to ride with the pinky sticking straight out. Dang I didn’t need this, I know it pales on comparison to other peoples issues, but still just not happy!
My DIL did that at the end of November. A horse spooked and I guess she was not holding the lead properly and broke two fingers (the little pinkie on her right hand as well). She is a nurse with preemies and also a student who had to write an exam in Dec. Well, she is just going back to work today and will write the exam next week. It’s been a real pain, but she started riding again a couple of weeks ago (new horse too).
She also did a lot of physio, no surgery, but a splint for the 6 weeks.
