I have a horse that I’m considering selling. She was bred this year but is still riding and showing sound.
I’m curious what her value is as a broodmare but I don’t have a lot of experience in that market.
Her breeding is Calvaro Z x Kojak x Heartbreaker
She has had one foal prior who did the 1.35 and she had a successful career doing the same.
If she is sound and able to show, you will get much more for her as a riding horse than you would get by selling her as a broodmare. Broodmares, unless exceptional (and exceptional mares are rarely sold) are relatively cheap.
A photo of her and photos of her foals would be helpful. What stallion was she bred to this year? Are you keeping the foal?
