Hi - I’m posting this for a friend so please forgive me if I don’t explain myself in the right natural horsemanship terms. A friend of mine is bringing a horse to her facility who has been trained by someone who exclusively follows Bucks’ training methods. She would like to find someone in the Bay Area who also is a solid “Buck” follower/trainer and exclusively trains Buck’s teaching. She is in the Pleasanton/San Ramon area and would need someone to come to her barn. Thanks for any information!

Petaluma/North Bay, or Woodside, or Hollister. Dressage, but the Real Deal for sure. Definitely solid on what Buck is teaching. This gal was a typical dressage type until she got with Tom Dorrance to help her.
Maybe not ‘Buck’ strictly, but they wont’ be teaching you anything that you’d change to ride with Buck, and they won’t bat an eye at a Wade saddle, slobber straps and a mecate rein.
Also in the Bay area, is Judy McHerron, also more english.
If you just have to ride western and learn from someone in a cowboy hat, Gwyn Turnbull Weaver is in Orland (2 hours N of the bay area) and might be able to come down, but more probably your friend would have to travel for a clinic.
