Buckeye Safe N Easy Performance reviews

Right now I have both my TB’s on Sentinel Performance LS and they are doing great. The youngster off the track is just off stall rest about a month now so I’m starting put some weight on him. My older man (20) has been on the Sentinel for about 3 years now and does phenomenal on it. I know, I know… why change if they are doing so well?? Well the Safe N Easy Performance is about $5 bag cheaper. It’s lower in NSC than the Sentinel 12.5% v 16% but it’s also a bit lower in calories 1450/lb v 1580/lb. The Safe N Easy also has no corn, the Sentinel does but it’s so low on the ingredients list I don’t worry about it unless the horse has a problem with it.

I do like Buckeye feeds and this would be available at my feed mill versus buying the Sentinel at TSC.

TIA!

I cannot fathom why anyone would give up a chance to shop at TSC. You must be crazy.

I don’t feel like doing math right now, but you’ll have to work out how much of the new feed you’d have to feed to equal the calories in the old feed. Then figure out how many dollars a bag that will save you; it will be less than $5.

If your tbs are in work, you may NEED the extra sugar for them to do their jobs. If they are doing great, maybe you’ve hit the nutritional nail square on the head. You could always switch and switch back if you don’t like it, or put the youngster on it and see how he does wrt the other horses. Nutrition is complicated, and there is not always an easy answer. What’s good is that there are multiple great products out there, and the companies putting the products out there have really stepped up and delivered.

Haha I don’t feel like doing the math right now either
