I am slowly updating my antiquated show clothes and looking to get a couple of show shirts either used or new. What brands would you recommend checking out? A couple of options that have come up are: Ariat, Tredstep Kerrits, Noble Outfitters, Irideon, Dovers’ brand and Rompf. Does anyone have insight on durability of these brands? Thank you in advance!
I have Ariat show shirts for the summer because they are the lightest weight, and Noble ones for cooler weather. My Noble ones have held up incredibly well. The Ariat ones are holding up fine but the fabric is a much lighter weight so I feel like I have to be a little more careful with those. Ebay is a great place to look for show shirts. I never bother with really expensive show shirts because I’m just covering them up anyway! I just want them to be comfortable.
Essex Classics make very nice timeless shirts with fun trim on the inside of the collars and cuffs. If you want a more fashion forward, feminine look I recommend Ronner Design.
I bought two of these Ariat Sunstopper Pros this summer and have been super happy! I find the Ariat shirts to be the coolest (I live in Atlanta where it gets HOT), and I love the fun pop of color under the collar. The zip up collar is a huge improvement over their older styles that have the snap collar. This easily zips all the way to the top. I have it in long sleeves and two different collar color styles, and you can’t beat the price.
