i want to build a stall door floor threshold for my in and out stalls to keep my shavings inside. I was searching for safe ideas.
anyone have any ideas or plans?

I had my son rip (saw) fenceposts down the middle so that you use 1/2 in a doorway for threshold. They re nice and rounded so easy to step over. Use bigger posts for more depth. I just used the ‘used’ posts we pulled out when I was re-doing my fences.
I used 3"x4" (actual 2.5"x3.5") landscape timbers
Composite decking material.
I used 2X4 cut to fit just inside the sill & screwed in.
Installed at the rear of stalls, where the Dutch doors to pastures are open 24/7.
Seems to be helping.
I use open door bar holders and a 2x4. Installing something permanent doesn’t work for me because I take the manure cart outside to pick up the poop. This way I can easily remove the board.
