So my first question is about Ros Canter, who, according to a story in EN yesterday, has withdrawn from consideration for the European championships due to pregnancy…
She is still listed as entered for Burghley. Is it possible that she withdrew from contention for the Europeans because it is a team event? Maybe she feels she has more flexibility about whether or not to compete if she is just riding for herself.
I know nothing, and this is just speculation.
Also… According to an offhand remark in a recent column by Mark Phillips in H&H, it seems that Harry Meade had an E bike injury, supposedly puncturing, a lung, cracking several ribs, and injuring his shoulder. I couldn’t find confirmation of this anywhere, or on his social media… and isn’t he the World No. 1?
I’m thinking about Burghley entries, but also the Europeans and even Maryland Five Star. Anyone who is more dialed-in than I am – please feel free to try to illuminate the situation!
