I just watched the course walk for Burghley, wowzers, those are some big solid jumps.
Looked like a very rideable course at least between the jumps. Canāt wait for things to kick off tomorrow.
Even more impressive in person when you can really see the terrain.

One day Iāll make it over to watch in person. Honestly, I havenāt watched much eventing till I put my horse in training w/ an eventer. It is fascinating and terrifying all at the same thing.

What got me on the coursewalk video with Derek DiGrazia, was the brushed chevrons. He stood by one and declared the top of the brush was max height - 4ā9" (1.45m). Then he stood behind the fence, which towered over his already tall frame, and said, āand thereās a bit of a drop on the landingā.
Those brushed chevrons always jump big, the horses only brush through a couple inches, not the entire difference to the maximum fixed height of 3ā11.

I watched the replay of the jog. I canāt find the ābest dressedā winners. I think Mia Farley looked stunning, but Iām not a fashion expert.
