I’m from dressage land where it seems anything goes and burgundy coats have become a “thing” at certain barns. For whatever reason they just look cheap and tacky to me. Pair that burgundy coat with a blinged out saddle, helmet and browband and well I’m ready to convert to hunters!!!
Personally, nothing should distract from the horse in the hunter ring and in the equitation ring, you should look the part. Wear your burgundy coats in the jumper ring.
