I only know of this man because I owned a horse who once raced under his training/ownership. Upon researching him, what I found was less than stellar. For instance, he tried to sell my old horse in an onsite shady auction in the back barns of a PA track after the horse races (VERY) successfully for him for quite a few years. The sale was known to only bring in the kill buyers and was a way for trainers to dispose of horses performing at less than stellar levels. The horse I had was lucky in that he was picked up by another trainer who knew the horse well and continued racing successfully for them. I consider my old horse very lucky to escape the hands of this man after the amount of horses he supposedly has killed for insurance money.
I see he’s buying at The Keeneland sale this week. Bought one of the Conquest Stable dispersal horses. Conquest ought to be sick to their stomachs that one of their horses ended up in this mans hands. Pioneer of the Nile horse out of a Jump Start mare. HIP 2942, foaled 2011: CONQUEST TOP GUN. Sold as a racing or stallion prospect. Has $225,000 in career earnings. The horse was the OBS June 2013 sale topper at $525,000 and Burton Sipp just bought him for $7,500.
So far, Conquest Top Gun is Burton Sipps only purchase at Keenelend.
I know that Burton has been covered in these threads many times before.
Is this guy training again??? Where is he racing? Last I was aware he was suspended in 2013 fro thistledown.
HOW IS THIS MAN CONTINUING TO RACE/TRAIN???:mad::mad:
I hope and pray for good things for Top Gun.
