Business As Usual

from bh.com

Delahoussaye financially benefited from races on which people wagered and from which he is said to have illegally administered drugs

I would think these people are next to be answering some questions.

The indictment and subsequent arrest of Delahoussaye is the first charge to emerge from a lengthy grand jury investigation into the activities at Penn National racetrack that remains ongoing. Numerous individuals have testified in front of the grand jury and sources indicate more indictments are likely.

An official with the Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission said the commission had not yet seen the indictment and could not comment.

 Sure, not likely

Ahhh, yes so pleased to see Channel 8 sitting outside the stable gate last night looking for DD only thing is they had to ask one trainer…what he looked like and what he drove…her response won’t make the news… lol…

DD has …allegedly been overheard remarking he was wearing a wire…fully co operating with the investigation and heads were going to roll…now that is 2nd party hearsay not gospel…

Very quick foot work to get arrested, processed, booked and out on bai between lunch and afternoon feed timel. Guess he had his ducks in a row before the incident???

DD’s trainer’s license needs to be revoked in every state in this country, plain and simple.

Here is a link to the Dauphin County Grand Jury findings leading to the arrest of DD.

Wow, quick foot work there!

Sooo, looks like Adomo was the licensed trainer on the one horse (Lions Pride), will they go after him next?

And, is it going to be SB’s word against DD now on the 3 horses? Sounds like she has already made her statement, unless of course DD was covering for her, or, SB is really telling the truth.

Should get very interesting from here!

Scroll about half-way down this page for some personal testimony about how Beattie lied to one former owner trying to get back one of the 3 horses described in the gj presentment:

Look for the post by Song of Solomon.

I see the last post is from June. I heard that Delahousse,( sorry about spelling. can’t we give this guy a more spellable nickname?) just got arrested for race fixing. Any word from the Penn National bloggers???

I think you missed the last several pages of posts…

dick still reporting

A bank robber fled TO penn national. state police raid the backside …

He is sorely missed here and his imput is always so invaluable.
I agree that his blog site is difficult to post …
Is there any other forum we coud take this discussion right now?

thanks Alfred for the states report… that was awesome to find!

And Dangerous Darrel probably has his bail bondsman on speed dial – for those who know how the system works, yes, they can be out within minutes of charges. It stated that he doesnt have a lawyer…(yet)…but obviously has a good bondsman.

A bank robber fled TO penn national.state police raid the backside

Is that because that was the one place he figured he’d never be detained and punished?

For Stephanie Beattie to give three horses to Darrell Delahoussaye as she thought he was taking her horses to a retirement ā€œpetting zooā€ in Ohio is bull, especially at that time when all of the controversy was about Delahoussaye, Gill, Adamo and their treatment of horses . And let me see, she did not bother to do any paperwork to protect these horses in any way to make sure they did not run again knowing they had serious injuries. I am sorry I just do not buy her story and by the way, where are all of her other horses she has supposedly safely retired? Her initials SB should be BS. She should be run down the road to.

Good One!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Getting old stinks! Thanks for the wake up post! I am on board now. Can’t believe that SB is going to sweet talk her way out of this one.

It never ends with the trainers on the backside of PN... they are willing to victimize ANYONE -- this gal tells her story of being taken by SB which is a repeat of many others told!
Our own Doublete told the exact tale!
And, its also Dick Hertz's story of Contrary.

How many others have been victimized? SB claims placing over 110 horses last year..... one can only imagine -- and its probably bigger than that.

Lying while smiling. Again, the definition of Sociopath comes to mind – http://www.mcafee.cc/Bin/sb.html
If the folks of this little forum, and the other, are finding this information, think the GJ is finding enough to keep asking for more facts from sb? or is she so good at lying she has them snowed too?
Although, not sure if there are laws actually broken by this behavior, other than moral and ethical.

Thank you for posting the link to that forum Third Glance.

If she is/was lying to the Grand Jury that is a crime in itself…perjury.

Maybe the folks that have been lied to can contact the GJ themselves and tell their stories, as long as there is proof to what they say. It should not be too hard to prove!

There might be more arrests related to giving performance-enhancing drugs to race horses at Penn National Race Course. ā€œIt’s not over, and the charging of additional persons is probable,ā€ said Fran Chardo, the first assistant district attorney for Dauphin County.

http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2010/07/more_horse_doping_arrests_are.html

Later in the article, Penn National says DD is banned from PEN and CT, pending the outcome of legal proceedings.

And there’s this: ā€œGill, who owns a mortgage company, said he would never give illegal drugs to horses.ā€

Of course HE wouldn’t give his horses illegal drugs. He paid his trainer to do it. Both of them, Gill & DD are total scumbuckets.

Unless there are taped conversations of Gill telling his trainers to give certain ā€œmedicationsā€ he will never take the fall for it. He learned this early on when he had his trainers license.

Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.

These racetrack sponsored-supported programs are very new to the industry, but should be commended for not shoving off the problem to those outside the industry to pick up the pieces.

We all go through growing pains. They are doing something, rather than posting under aliases and complaining non-stop. Anyone who thinks they can do better–start taking in some of these horses yourselves and put your money where your mouth is…

It is expensive, time-consuming, heartbreaking–and Penn National and their HBPA should be praised for getting on board with the ā€œwe take care of our ownā€ mentality.
Can you all finally praise them for what they ARE doing, rather than fault them for what they have not done?

After reading pages and pages of nameless people faulting everyone and everything, I’d think you’d all welcome the break and just sit back, take a few breaths, and see what happens.[/QUOTE]

My personal issue with the retirement program is the person in charge who doesn’t seem to have a good history with retiring horses, such as ā€œmisplacingā€ them and ā€œforgettingā€ where they were sent and providing many false answers when she’s called out on the matter.

No, he just has others do the dirty work for him. Trust me, Gill is in complete control of his ship and anything that goes on there. He is not some innocent guy unaware of what is happening. The trainers he hires are just puppets doing his bidding. Of course, you have to have degenerate scumbags willing to sink to that level.
