What you think are small things are violations of rules at the track. I’ve known countless trainers who’ve never been fined or ruled off for anything. Is no excuse for it. You can’t play by the rules find another occupation.

Racing1120 it is very hard to take any of your posts seriously with all of the misspellings and grammatical errors. What you say: SHOUT, SHOUT, SCREAM, RANT, SHOUT, SCREAM, TYRADE, SHOUT, SCREAM!!! What I hear: BLAH, BLAH, BLAH BLAH, BLAH!!! Funny, the minute people start screaming at me I usually just tune them right out. Might I suggest an anger management course and a good elementary grammer text book??? By the way, the hose IS a big deal. Makes a real mess of a shedrow, all kinds of mud outside and this past winter I watched one trainer let their hose run constantly outside by their wash mats and the ice was unreal! Could this have been you??? It spilled out on to the horse path and made it mega dangerous for the horses, riders and anyone walking. Sorry Charlie, I agree with Profidia. The fine was appropriate. A large part of being a trainer is attention to detail. Turning off hoses falls into that catagory.
So far away from the original intent
Wow. This topic has gotten so far away from the original… we started with the cruel treatment of racehorses who’s owners are in the sport for little to do with the love of the horse and more in the pursuit of winning/making money at all costs. So many terrible things being done to so many animals; all so they could run through the ranks and end up in bad enough physical and/or mental shape that the expedient and cost efficient end for many owners was for these horses to end up on a long truck ride and a certain end.
Now 100+ pages in, all we seem to have is an argument that is both valid and incredibly futile… no one is going to fess up where those horses in question ended up, be it the mythical 4-H home or the other much more certain outcome. And yet, I’d bet that all of the other inhumane practices with a well known contingent of trainers continue unabated… even with the promise of a nice retirement program at this disgraceful track.
If we could fix, or even just concentrate on the root problem of horse being literally run into the ground through inhumane practices and endless “physical patches”, we would have a lot less to argue about concerning slaughter and where used up and unwanted horses actually end up. I don’t have the answer to that, and I doubt anyone really does. But, until the actual root cause is addressed, this issue is not going to go away and those who decide to rid themselves of the unwanted thoroughbreds will continue use the quick and highly cost effective disposal option that the slaughter industry provides. They will just be more and more discreet about it… and we’ll be in exactly the same place where we are now - debating where the horses went.

SB has done that through the missing horses......
and is still using every and any diversion to escape that accountability.
oh, and Racing1120-- even if a horse is given away, a BOS stating -0-price, or Title of Transfer is appropriate, thus obtaining that persons contact information and verification of placement.... SB have any of those?...warning, if you say NO, then we see that as really sloppy business practise with questionable reasons...and more proof of her incapacity of holding any position other than a pitchfork. If you say Yes, well, everyone would like to see them.

I am happy to see people once again writing on this thread, I almost thouhgt it had gone by the wayside. I agree that the 100’s of horses will probally not be found, very very sad to me.
I don’t think people can readily change their feelings or thoughts about caring for horses, or any animal for that fact. It seems to me that is a thing you are born with. however, maybe from here on out it will be easier to keep track of these great horses who run their hearts out for our enjoyment. I don’t care if they are top level or bottom level, they are living breathing creatures.
I also think these people who are so enraged over posts seem to take things personally. I don’t know enough about the daily goings on the backside to comment, but I hope Penn will become a better place sooner rather than later.

Big Booper brings to light the facts that SB has sold horses to DD to race… although its known fact they are injured.
In light of what we all know now...a good re-reading outlines, in hindsight, the progress this thread has made.
There is now a Retirement program at PN, through the HBPA, once headed by SB, now replaced by SB(2).
Sadly, there is Still the issue of UNaccountability of hundreds of horses
--- we all know will not be found, or spoken for..
--- we all know the 4-h lady, the petting zoo and the therapeutic center do NOT exist.
--- we all know the higher ups are just as guilty for their parts in the disposal process.
--- we all know those same higher ups are covering for SB and her infractions.
--- we have uncovered the slaughter pipeline of Mel Hoover, Brain Moore, Charlie DeHart and Bruce Rotz.
---- DD has been removed although NOT monitored for access to racing/horses at PN, this needs to be addressed, thanks to Profidia, sightings of DD and his dirty deeds are being recorded.
I would like the rest of the highlights added to this list of accomplishments this thread has brought forward.
Many people (Free Dick Hertz, Big Booper)are to be thanked for sticking their necks out (Mike Papadda issue)....
and perservering for the love of horses first… and also the betterment of racing.
I am sure this thread is read by many,... and I do hope so, because I am also sure that this issues will Not go away, nor fall to the sidelines but stay forefront in everyones goal to solve these problems.

Do you think this woman would be willing to show pictures of the horses in their new careers? I can understand how she would want to remain anonymous, but I would think she and her clients would be so proud of what they are doing that they would at least want to share pictures of the horses without revealing their own identity if they are camera shy. 
Stop hammering SB
I think many of you fail to realize how SB operates. There’s a pretty common trend if you take a close look at everything involving “SB”. The one common theme is that when a problem is made public by various people there’s a period of silence followed by an explanation. Most normal people when confronted would simply do nothing ever or quickly offer a response to the issue. SB needs a lot of time for her issues because her issues are great in nature. She needs her master coordinator DB to help coordinate her life so thus the delay in her responses and when she does respond they are made in a calculated manner.
What we do see on a daily basis is someone who looks refreshed now that Davey is out of her life. She carries a smile around the track and has been as cordial as ever. I give her credit for being able to hide behind the real truth.
The real truth is that SB can’t account for 1/10 of her retired horses. When she was done with them they’re gone. Not in a month or even a week, out with that weekend’s trash to Bruce Rotz, Brian Moore, Chuck Dehart, Bruce Rotz.
All this stuff aside, let me assure you that SB’s world is going to come unhinged in due time. The irony is the investigation by the State Polise is the least of her worries. Seems another government agency with much more pain has been alerted to a certainl situation and there’s a paper trail longer than the reports within the Warren Commission’s investigation involving the assassination of JFK. So, all you SB haters, just sit back and enjoy the time that awaits. This lady is betting that SB will be pawning pink shadow rolls for $1 to help raise money for her defense.
Oh, and for you mr. DB, I think you have a lot to worry about too.
