I was told tonight that Juan Carlos Guerrero was escorted from Philly Park after his last race and suspended 10yrs.
Can anyone verify?

He has one in today, letâs see if it runs. Also, they took his entries yesterday morning for the 12/26 card.
Apparently charges are being filed against him for indecent assault after innapropriately touching someone⊠paulickreport just posted about it.
Yes,thats exactly what was said last night. Wow⊠what a way to screw up a good thing, huh?

LMAO! COOL!
I bet Penn had an invite and a stall application in the mail to him before the ink was dry on his arrest paperwork
This even made our local (Phila) news station. Along with the photo of him patting his horseâs butt.
Unusual for the news to report ANYTHING about horse racing and those involvedâŠ

Incorrect. Itâs unfortunate that horses from that farm did end up at slaugther, but they werentâ sold to slaughter from Star Barn. They were sold to a buyer, through an auction office, who stated that his intent was to retrain the horses and place them, and it was that buyer sold them to slaughter. As for Star Barn going belly up, itâs due in part to an over-zealous, and not completely honest group of horse advocates, who for all intents and purposes are anti-thoroughbred racing, and who are quite adept at twisting a few facts into a very large, embellished and fictional story to server their purpose.[/QUOTE]
LOL - Not so much a âMiddle of the roadâ viewpoint there, eh? PS Not many are fooled here⊠too much photographic evidence!
More bad news for PA racehorses
Just read the below Paulick Report article. The report isnât in newspaper fashion (important stuff first, details later) but written confusingly like a story. (But one without a happy ending).

It also reminded me of the âgave her to the 4-H ladyâ comment from way earlier in the thread.
I have no inside information - just read the report & am passing it along.
Mark BlissâŠreallyâŠseriouslyâŠfor realâŠthe biggest theif liar of all timesâŠ
I agree, it amazes me that guy isnât in prison on a life sentence by now. He must be made out of Teflon.
Will admit it surprised me to see his name and âvictimâ in the same sentence, but lefever is still a first race asshat either way.
As per usual the only real victims are the animals. I am sure Bliss is happy to have the horse out of the barn and his only regret is he couldnât find someone to screw over in the process.
I remember years ago there was a pony person or someone who worked on the ambulance, something like that going around telling people she was looking for horses to make into show horses and was selling them to slaughter. I believe she was convicted of fraud. Somewhere in NY maybe?

Wasnât it at FL, Laurie? And why am I thinking she was a vet or a tech? Wondering if my memory is any good at all!
Dee
Laurie, I remember that too⊠and Iâm thinking it was in NY and she worked on the ambulance.
It would be GREAT if someone spoke up about Bliss⊠heâd do jail time if caught
Bliss is no dummy and probably knew what was up with her. Maybe heâs the one that posted her bail to keep her quiet (conspiracy theory I know). She may talk to avoid the charges though. Should get interesting.
Just put his name on any COTH search engine plenty of people with litigation on him alreadyâŠ

I urge everyone to contact their senators and representatives in support of this legislation.
Federal involvement is long overdue, especially at PN:cool:
Now that Equibase is publishing owner stats, I looked up a certain Mr. Edward Longo. Here is his complete history:
Year Starts Firsts Seconds Thirds Earnings
2012 2 1 0 0 $10,200
2011 49 12 9 7 $111,462
2010 91 14 8 11 $319,820
2009 4 1 0 0 $22,800
HmmmâŠseems his rise is completely in time with the fall of another well-known individual. InterestingâŠ
Gill, Adamo to Fight PA Commission in TrialBy Tom LaMarra, @JerseyTom

A trial involving an owner and trainer ejected from Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in 2010 is scheduled to begin April 23 in United States District Court in Pennsylvania.
The case involves Thoroughbred owner Michael Gill and trainer Anthony Adamo, who were ejected by the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission, not track owner Penn National Gaming Inc. Thus, the racing commission is the defendant in the proceedings.
A pre-trial memorandum prepared by attorney Alan Pincus on behalf of Gill and Adamo states the ejections âwere not based on any violation of horse racing regulations,â and that the owner and trainer âwere never charged with violating any regulation connected to the incident.â The memo claims the ejections âwere allegedly issued for the sole purpose of stopping the disruption of racingâ jockeys said would occur Feb. 3, 2010.
Pincus also notes hearings never were held on the ejections. He also said the allegations the stableâs horses were unsafe to ride were never proven, and that itâs documented the jockeys continued to ride Gillâs horses at other tracks or at Penn National after they were claimed.
Gill got out of the Thoroughbred business because of the situation. Adamoâs ejection was rescinded; the pre-trial memo states the PHRC continued to harass him and played a role in Adamo losing stalls at Fort Erie Racetrack & Casino in Ontario, Canada.
The case triggered a grand jury investigation of activities on the Penn National backstretch.
The trial could take four days, according to Pincus. The PHRC will be represented by the state Attorney Generalâs office.
