The entire thread was deemed inapporpriate?? Geez, they ought to spend some time on the the Hunter/Jumper forum if they want to see inappropriate
Other Avenues?
Through censorship, the status quo at the track will continue. Those that should be held accountable are not. The bad guys win in this sport.
Any chance the debacle that is PENN could be brought to light on Steve Bykās daily radio show? Probably not, given that the show is basically an industry pollyanna.
PS- Anyone see the Jockey Clubās multi page response letter to congress concerning the state of the industry. After reading this, I am convinved that horse racing is the cleanest and most closely monitored sport going.
Hate to say it, but outside of a 90 mile radius of Grantville, no one cares what happens there. Hope Iām wrong.
:lol::):eek::yes::):lol::):lol:

Trust me, Senor Ray is very much in the loop as our other members of the local and national media.
Did they shut the thread down because people want to know where the horse is? Dick, has Stephanie contacted you on the location of the horse? I have a feeling that this is not going away no matter how hard they try
Perhaps, if the thread returns to a more journalistic reporting venue, it could continue to state facts that need to come to light,ā¦and present questions that need answersā¦and offer information that the sport desperately needs to maintain its proper function.
Just facts.
Iām sure the moderator got some complaints from our local HBPA officials. Now why would the HBPA have a problem with what is being brought up in this forum? Shouldnāt they be supportive of changing things at PEN??? Not!
The moderators have chosen to remove the thread and edit posts they deem to be inappropriate.
Post away.
Bummer. I found that thread to be highly educational.
The question still remainsā¦where is the horse in question? If heās dead, then letās just get it out and move on.
Speaking of milkshakes they put the fact that they are no longer testing for millkshakes right on the overnight at delaware so if Penn ever does start testing for them the abusers have another place to go.
I cannot stand to take the lies, cheating, and overall disgusting unpoliced behavior that has been chronicled on this site. Dick has made every effort to find this missing horse with little or no cooperation from the connections that sent him to god knows where. So, I have now decided to take a firm stance and play hardball since the protected few in this circumstance have decided to remain silent and hope that it goes away quietly.
Stepanie Beattie/ David Wells, you have until end of business on friday to fully disclose the location and health status of this missing horse. If that is not possible then we expect a full confession of the exact action that was taken that caused the horse to go missing essentially admitting your guilt and putting an end to this ridiculous farce.
If you fail to do so, I, along with a group of supporters (And there are many more than you think), will be making informative phone calls to PETA. In these phone calls we will outline the lies that you have told concerning the whereabouts of the horse, and the total denials of any caretakers that you said were in possesion of the horse. We will ask them to look fully into your background and do a comprehensive search for all other horses that may have disappeared after your care, to make certain that many other horses have not fallen through the cracks. We are confident that they will place a high level of priority on this issue considering you are the HBPA president that is working on a plan of hypocrisy in attempting to fund a horse retirement center. In addition, We will ask that they contact Penn National to find exactly the method that they are taking to enforce their anti slaughter policy in this matter and request that PETA take firm action to ensure that justice is fully served in this matter.
Dick, please let us know if the proper communication was rendered about the missing horse, on this site. The time now belongs to you, Stephanie. Choose with care.
IN DEFENSE OF STEPHANIE
WHAT in the hell do you morons, horsemen at Penn, expect?
Isnāt it logical to dispose of the horses that have been blasted with my "$1100 dollar treatment of ājust like epogenā wink wink ?
Do you morons really want the general public seeing horses that hair falls out, fevers that you canāt control, 6 months of pure hell on the animal? Do you?
Or how about horses joints that have been tapped with Ammonium sulfate, that burns out the horses nerve endings, where they leave the horse impaired for life?
Hey, Stephanie Beattie is doing horse racing a favor disposing of these horses at her Canadian Retirement Centers, just ask any frenchman.
Stephanie Beattie is an American Hero, just ask my bank account
I have just stumbled on to a wave of action on another board that is looking at the penn national slaughter issue. This is on Yahoo boards and has a huge scope of viewers nationally with a wide range of backgrounds. To access it just go to Yahoo boards. In the search box type in Penn National. This will lead you to Penn Gamings personal Yahoo page. From that point you can feel free to read away and post at will. The best part is that Yahoo REFUSES TO CENSOR YOUR RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH. So if this board wont accomodate you the Yahoo boards will.
Oh yeah and by the way. Stephanie, Where is the horse?
The preceeding post is a perfect example of why the original thread has been pulled.
Guys, Iām just as much on the side of the horses as you are. If you want to use this as your forum youāve got to make an attempt at a little journalistic integrity and refrain from the name calling and rumor mill tactics.
WAKE UP

NO RUMOR MILL for anybody that knows what goes on in this barn, I am the best
Oh Barnfairy!
Dearest Barnfairy,
As you well remember, there was once a time that the racing forum was the only āpoliteā thread on the COTH Boards. It seems such a long time ago.
Losing Glimmerglass was a huge blow for us. For those who think Glimmerglass only cut and pasted the news you folks missed the whole point - he got interesting conversations going between the members. And, those of you who believe that only active racetrackers should be allowed to air their opinions are stifling free speech.
I guess we got what we deserved. Now, we just have anger and rage.
I also find it interesting to note that a bunch of members have changed their user names so they canāt be tracked. Come on, folks! If you have an opinion stand behind it and post your real name.
The language that was used on the former thread yesterday was unacceptable. Kids read these forums. I curse as well as any sailor or racetracker but it is not appropriate to include such remarks in your written comments. I donāt blame the moderators for pulling the plug.
I think the one question everyone wants answered is where is the horse in question? Why the secrecy?
Would it kill everyone to try to be just a little more kind?
And, Dick, keep giving 'em āheck.ā
I remain -
Haldis āHallieā I. McEvoy

Check this out! Just came across this one. Horseās name is OWEN MEANY, owner-trainer, you guessed it - Jay Budrewicz! Horse just ran 5/23/10 at Suffolk. Before that it ran on 1/14/10 at LRL for trainer Howard Wolfendale. Hereās the kicker, the previous owner was ROBERT COLE, one of Steph Beattieās owners. So now thatās three horses that have some tie to Steph Beattie (direct or in-direct) that wound up with Budrewicz!!!
Yelling at me does nothing to improve your credibility. Iām on your side.
If you want to end the corruption, youāve got to play smart.
What you people fail to comprehend is that these are the facts. The sad disturbing facts. It has been permitted to fester and swell for a long time with not a care in the world from management or the backside horsemens population. Business as usual will come to an end
