Business As Usual
Not to beat a dead horse…but has this subject been shoved to the back burner for lack of interest, loose of faith in those most vocal, reasons we know nothing about to sweep it all back under the rug? Or is there a really grande finale still to come?
Well…
Unfortunately most of the folks carrying on most of the dialog have been banned. Fine way to slow a thread down I suppose:rolleyes:

This thread was started with alot of bravado and demands for answers, answers that have been deflected and never honestly ANSWERED. 110 horses since 2009 and exactly where are they now…show of hands now don’t be shy…how many of you out there have 1-2 tucked away for super secret sagfe keeping??? Come on now how many of you know the rescues who took them in?

One small step for the horseman a giant step forward for the horses, what happened to the soldiers???
The war hasn’t been won, not even a battle skirmish…

I know we’ve all heard it before ad nauseum but something is supposed to be happening soon. Hopefully it will for real this time.

Aside from that, Darrel Delahoussaye did indeed lose his stalls for sending a horse to the killers. Question is why is he not ruled off? Why is he still racing in PA every day off of a farm? Isn’t being ruled off supposed to be part of the penalty? Also while he did have his stalls taken how long will it be before he gets them back? If they give them back after a couple of months they can honestly say they enforced their policy this one and only time right?
Business as usual again:yes:

Whats good for the Gander (DD) indead should have been good for the Goose (SB.

You can’t have it both ways, Penn should have the B*lls to step in and demand Ms B pony up her GG’s where abouts or get the boot.
Oh she can scream foul about dates on overnites etc…but the simple arithmatic is staggering and a private moment on the red carpet is sorely needed.
Maybe she needs to give back her watch???

If Penn can put trainers like Murray Rojas up on the carpet and demand sales contracts why can’t they ask SB???..
Fear of a lawsuit shouldn’t be a mtigating factor, SB should fear more her loss of face because an investigation leads only in one direction.

Come people keep up the GOOD fight…
Eventually teetering at the top will make for a not so gracefully fall, if SB can’t remember which horse needs to be sent to the paddock how can she be expected to know where 110 horses are??

Sorry Penn but 1 lousey sorry excuse doesn’t make the oval go round.

Banning Dickie shouldn’t have stopped the voices, he may have been the lead but there was a whole chorus behind him.
They haven’tall been banned…well maybe the off key guy Johniie swampwater…but this board has put alot of pressure on and made more eyes pointed in the right direction.

Remember idle chatter is one of the ways our NSA keeps track.
Seems some SB biggest detractors have gotten cookie crumbs and are off licking their fingers in silence…come out come out where ever you are…she may try to have your stalls taken but didn’t rip your tongues out…

Wasn’t only Dickie. Scroll back to about pages 70 to 80. Take a look at all the folks back there who have been banned. T’was enough to kill the thread. I’d suggest moving it someplace else:yes:

she may try to have your stalls taken but didn’t rip your tongues out…
This poster is not an owner nor trainer and thus has no stalls for them to take. I’d dare any of them to try to shut me up:cool:

you and me…doesn’t take a semi to upset the apple cart, just a few well placed seeds…

Ive made mention several times how this was gong to go…
and it did exactly happen as I said it would.

SB was off the hook in exchange that new rules be set in place…Dick Hertz now on the committee to oversee. Its the end of any horses ended up in slaughter. (or should be)…the next guy will get crucified…

And…if you want the brutal and honest only truth…yes, it is Busness as Usual — the management (all the management) wants things peaceful … to those who want to make waves, a gentle reminder that they are (guests) of PN …and if they dont like it — they are free to leave. Undesirable is the blanket reason for rule-offs…or loss of license priviledges, or you name it…
the game is…you play their game, they have the court advantage…or you get out.

There is no one to go to for reform (or even complaint)... the management sticks together all the way to the top.

  Simple:

Oh… and you (collectively) cannot say NO GOOD was done… SB is in line, No horse will go to slaughter througth any means…those exposed know it, know they got away with it, will fly right or at least out of the radar…
I’d say that was a lot to be accomplished!

those exposed know it, know they got away with it, will fly right or at least out of the radar…

Bold says it all

Its really a shame everyone has rolled over and let this thread drift off.
Not that we need to keep poking a hornets nest with a stick, but more to the point alot of good actually is to come from this.
Airing the “Dirty Linen” so to speak has pushed alot of buttons and pushed people in the right direction.

With out the name calling and hair pulling, just keeping an eye on issues does make everyone stop and refelct.

Don’t give up the “Good” fight…
The thing that’s a bigger shame is that it can and should be talked about elsewhere. Problem is nobody wants to take it off of this website where it’s been made very clear that this discussion is not welcome. Clearly a case of collective self-imposed limitations:yes:

Sort of OT, but as of July 31, the EU regulations for slaughter kick in for Canada, at least (which is where most of the East Coast horses go), which expressly bans any horse that has had bute administered in its lifetime. Since 93++ percent of all TBs and SBs have had bute, how is this going to affect where the majority of these horses go? The logical thing would be for the SHs themselves to completely eliminate taking in any tattooed TBs or SBs to get around this, 6-month history or not. Anybody heard anything through the grapevine?

The grapevine says that the TBs and STBs are just gonna keep on going through…the “paperwork” attesting to the lack of meds will be provided…and those on the receiving end will happily accept that “paperwork”

We will see…it may be quite a few years before those people eating American horsemeat develop horrible afflictions and then a few more years before they ID the source…

So where would you like to discuss this topic??

Every post I have made to this thread was removed by the mod. No post I made even remotely violated the TOS; I made no accusations, engaged in no name-calling and was polite and respectful. I don’t see the point of posting here, I am not allowed to speak or express an opinion. My posts don’t exist anymore for even just my own private reference. Yet the Penn Nat PR people and defenders of a suspect trainer were allowed to run rampant insulting and threatening whomever they pleased. I’m sure I’ll be banned for this post, but at least I made a copy of this before it’s erased.

SwtVixen I am not going to get into a verbal spare with you.

I have been to Dickie’s site numerous times, read all of his commentary carefully.
The odd thing is the majority of his posts have ZERO comments.
Either he mods them himself or no one cares to comment???

With exception of the “Baird” debacle its pretty tame stuff compaired to what this board had to offer.

I believe this week has some suprises in store:D

He may not be moderating the comments; I wrote one over two weeks ago and it was never posted. Nothing inflammatory; just a generic comment.

I posted when he 1st set the site up and it was tame to say the least it to never appeared…

I’d like very much to comment on Dickie’s but is not an easy site to get on. Being a bit of a computer dunce I’ve not been able to figure out how. I’m sure a few others have had the same problem.

By the way…
I understand Steph is having a big party out at her place tonight. You think Dickie got an invite???

That was my point… that his new blog site doesnt have the built in traffic like this site does… which encompasses thousands ----------- even if they are just browsing, many have excellent opinions to offer — which always makes for great debate!

So, where are these missing horses? Has anyone heard anything or should the worst be assumed?

We were promised the info on their idyllic retirements and told we would be forced to apologize. The only result so far is that the poster who asked about these horses was banned.
