Anyone with experience with this supplier? I have been
getting emails from the company and decided to look at
what they had to offer today. Found good prices on things
I am going to need. I have never purchased from them
before, in fact, never heard of them before so thought I
would see if anyone here has had experience with this
supplier.
Seems like nobody has experience with Santa Cruz. I have
read that the Animal Health Division works under the
name of San Juan Ranch. Anyone purchased from them
or know about them for horse health supplies?
Bump?
It’s been 4 years - has anyone used them in the interim?
I have ordered from Santa Cruz for a number of years with no issues.
There’s more than one ‘Santa Cruz’ and I believe this is the same company with slightly different websites. The name given in the first post of this old, resurrected thread is most likely this website:
http://www.scbt.com/
That website contains a link to:
http://www.scbt.com/animal_health.html
or just…
The horse supplements are in this link:

I give my mare their natural E bulk powder. Very good price.
A few years ago, they supplied my cat’s insulin. Their stuff was well-priced, shipped promptly and properly (insulin had to stay refrigerated and the vials indeed arrived cool with enough ice packing included.) I’d use 'em again.

Yep, these are the guys I use and they’ve been great. Even called after my order to confirm I was happy.
Shame their natural vit e powder has gone up so much in price, though!!
I’ve ordered tons of biotech proteins from them. And also vit e for my horse. Great service! Highly recommended!
Great company–I use their show sheen type product; it smells a little like roses and works great. Products ship fast and their reps seem to keep on top of things. They generally send 2 confirmation emails from 2 different people per order.
I ordered some 100% psyllium powder from them. I got it the very next day. The psyllium was for a boarder that had a sand dam in her lower abdomen. Vet said 2 cups a day for 2 months, and it did clear her within six weeks.
I intend to use them when I need supplements again.
Always use them. Lightning fast delivery, excellent customer service.
I second Coreene’s comments.
I highly recommend them. Excellent customer service and fast shipping. Their supplement prices are good. Their bulk brand ships in bags so less waste.
I had one issue with a shipment that was not their fault (fedex mangled a box). when Santa Cruz called me to see if I had gotten my order I mentioned what happened. They immediately offered a solution to fix the issue. I didn’t even have to ask.
I have filled small orders with their brand of grooming products to get to $50 for free shipping. Very happy with those. The detangler and leave in conditioner are awesome.
Thanks for the update folks!
Used them. Great customer service. They even call after the expected delivery date to verify you received shipment and to make sure it was to your satisfaction.
I miss that I don’t live close to their store anymore. I loved just going in there and “poking around.” They have great prices on many products that I use- including brushes etc. I recommend them!

Wow, just saw the new d-alpha price I missed the earlier hoopla over the price rise.
I’ll probably still use theirs but ouch, that’s a bite!
Just started using them a couple of months ago. Put two horses on their Pain Relief pellets (in place of Bute-Less) and they seem to be doing well on it. I ordered a small bag of Chromium for my fatty and he flatly refused to eat it (and this is a horse that has never refused anything in his 20 years of life). I called to see if they accepted returns on supplements and they said no but offered to refund me in full and said to donate it to a shelter or rescue. It was only $9 but it was appreciated. Like someone else said, they call a day or two after delivery to follow up.
I think they’re great…
