Wrote my check today, Erin. I’m not sure if it will go in the mail today, but at the latest it will be tomorrow. 
Coreene, I was on the words end of the COTH machine, remember? As far as I’m concerned, the ads are just things that take space away from the articles. 
I dunno, but I will leave it up to the design wizards here to compose something lovely. 
BTW, in the hour I was away from my desk for lunch, I got about 20 emails… yikes!

Oh well. At least I’ll have lots of mail to open… and a slightly bigger balance in my checking account for a day or two, before I have to give it all to COTH!

Yep. I didn’t know her like most of you, but I saw that picture posted, the tears started to flow, and I got out my checkbook. I was so inspired by the her strength eminating from that picture, we’ve just GOT to share it.

No problem… if anyone is interested in chipping in, but won’t be able to send a check for a week or two, just drop me a note and let me know.
By the end of this week, I’ll probably try to set some kind of deadline for folks to get their contribution in, so we can move ahead with the ad. But I don’t mind waiting for people, as long as I know some contributions are still coming.
I think we’re going to wait a few days to get a better idea of what the “pot” will be.
By the end of the week, I should have a pretty accurate progress report to pass along to everyone.
Just thought I would add that I’ve gotten about 40 emails in the last 4 hours.

I really like the quote by Winston Churchill which serves as Wingsy’s tag: “No hour is lost that is spent in the saddle” as the headline under the Rocket Man photo. Think we should also include in body copy that the ad is from Cactuskate’s BB ‘family’; that she served as an inspiration to all of us.
Would also like to designate a charity in the ad - think the charity itself should be subject to a BB vote.
Have you nagged COTH’s ad rep into submission on a better rate?
