People here in the racing forum have been so helpful to me as I’ve been tracing my friend’s mare’s journey. I’m working on a piece of writing about the mare and how she ended up in Maine. I’d like to confirm that she’s her dam’s first foal because I know that pedigreequery is not always accurate. Is there anyone who already has a subscription to Equineline who would look up Becky’s Queen’s progeny (1988 - Oblivious Miss) for me?

New Question…the only “Phone It In” in Equibase is a mare foaled in 2007. I know that means the 1998 colt didn’t race, but does the reuse of the name mean it died?

Not necessarily. The JC only “holds” names for 10 years or so if nothing is happening with them.
