I have my mare’s kwpn papers but her dam line only shows 3 generations back per what Kwpn inputted.
The years might work as the 90s era mare is Greta (dam of my mare) and she would be granddaughter of Prince Rouge who was born in '51.
I sorted through the information. This is what i found out:
Since there is no entry for either Greta, Gottfried or Passion, I looked up Passiflora, the dam of Gottfried as shown in pedigree of sporthorse-data.com (which is seriously no official source, anyone can create or edit pedigrees). I found this mare in the FN database:
Breeder of this mare is Elvira Lühr. There is a sport result for this mare, she has two placings, 2nd and 4th, in young dressage horse tests in year 1977.
Unfortunately, there is no entry for any progeny of Passiflora. If her son Gottfried would have been a licensed stallion in germany, there would forcibly have been an entry in this database! This implies that Gottfried was never licensed, at least not in germany.
After that I searched for mares by Prince Rouge in the database. I found 8 mares:
Interestingly 6 of those mares are bred by Gerd Lühr or Walter Luehr (you can write ü as ue). Same surname as Elvira Lühr, breeder of the dam of Gottfried. Coincidence? I guess not. And Gerd Lühr and Walter Luehr are both situated in Borgholzhausen in Germany, therefore it stands to reason that they are related.
It is rather likely that your mare Greta is a product of an unlicensed stallion named Gottfried and a mare related to mares of Gerd Lühr and Walter Luehr respectively of one of the damlines of those 6 mares mentioned above. I looked up each of those 6 mares. They are:
Panama *1976 by Prince Rouge

3rd dam: Amorette by Adlerhorst
4th dam: Funkgondel by Furier

7th dam: Flirtenmamsell by Flirt
8th dam: Anstellung by Ansturm
9th dam: Hellada by Honorat
10th dam: Dagidda by Defilant
11th dam: Comparette by Coriolan
12th dam: Schablone by Schluckmann
13th dam: Loranda by Lorbeer
Perfekte *1976 by Prince Rouge
dam: Feurige by Furioso II
2nd dam: Mare not named by Agram
3rd dam: Alpenseele by Alljeder

5th dam: Springwunder by Springborn
6th dam: Alcaza by Albatros
Prisca by Prince Rouge
dam: Mare not named by Agram (also 2nd dam of Perfekte)
All of the dams of those 6 mares could be the dam of Greta too. To get proof of that I would try to contact either Elvira Lühr or the hanoverian breeding association.
Thank you to everyone for their help. I received a lovely email from the Hanoverian society this morning with all the info I was looking for.
The mare Greta is hanoverian and I was supplied with her registration number as well as a full pedigree of her.
Now I know that Prince Rouge is the actual stallion in my mare’s pedigree rather than the american TB Prince Rogue which is what the mis-spelling shows it as.
I’m not sure why Gottfried isn’t found anywhere but I also have his registration # and info so he is in their studbooks somewhere.
Thank you to everyone who helped on this wild goose chase!
Do not under any circumstances trust Allbreed Pedigree. It’s notoriously unreliable.
Vineyridge I don’t trust any sites that can be randomly edited. The AHS supplied me with the info I was seeking.
Horse Telex is a great way to track European warmblood lines. Did it not have the information you were looking for?

Can you send it to me? I’d like to see if he’s listed through the German Hanoverian damline site. I might be able to get more info for you from there. (That data comes straight from the Hanoverian Verband and is not editable)
I know that mare. She was owned by someone I knew back in 2008 or 2009.
Sorry to resurrect a zombie thread, but I was looking for where to look up a pedigree on a 2009 Hannoverian.
