My address is Williston but I am actually in Aiken County. Williston is in Barnwell County. The one and only grocery store is pitiful, almost 3rd world. We do all our shopping in Aiken. The area is very popular with carriage drivers. But we aren’t the only eventers. I love it here but very rarely go into Williston. Feel free to ask me specific questions. The ground is pure sand. Drains great. Been here almost 2 years. Convenient to good vet, farrier etc…
Isn’t Williston a wide spot in the road? Not meaning that in a derogatory way, it just always seemed like it was an address, but not really a place. You still went to Aiken for life if you lived in Williston.

i’m with julie – i boarded my horse right off of 20, in williston… great place for my horse, and i wouldn’t have minded living there, but it isn’t really ‘next door’ to anything and i found myself constantly driving into aiken after the barn. i DID live on the south side of aiken, so it wasn’t too terrible – but by and large there isn’t anything other than horses and hicks in williston in my experience.

Yellowbritches, I believe you are thinking of Windsor. Williston is actually a town.
It’s a small town, but it is a town with basic stores and things. For any real shopping you’ll probably have to go to Aiken or Columbia. Nice area for horses though!
