I’ll be picking up the GSP in NY and heading down to Howell. I haven’t looked up what exit number yet. Are bumper pulls allowed on this road or do I need to plan another route?
I’m not sure why they wouldn’t be allowed ? Sometimes the NJ TP will ban trailers due to wind.
I have delivered a horse in Howell, NJ and used the Garden State Parkway to get there. NJ does do high wind bans on trailers on a number of bridges in the state not just on the NJ Turnpike. It has to be really pretty windy for that to happen.
Other than that you should be good.
I believe trucks are banned north of exit 105 on the GSP. Not sure if that would include a bumper pull. To be safe I’d probably take 287 from the NY Thruway down to the NJ Turnpike.

Really? I thought that parkways were not for anything but cars. Some ban commercial small trucks and motorcycles as well.
ETA - seems as if I am out of date. http://www.aaroads.com/guide.php?page=gspnj
