The horse is not on All Breed so I’ll link to her sire’s pedigree as well as her dam’s.

She’s performance/ ranch bred. I’m seeing reining, cutting and racing QH’s and TBs in her pedigree. Obviously going back to some old lines with Joe and Leo. I’d guess she was a sturdy athletic horse in her day.
Agree with 1MoreHorse --owned a Leo bred and a Joe Reed bred --both were nice horses who did their jobs well.
Her sire is an own son of Mr. Gun Smoke. Mr. Gun Smoke is in volume 3 of the “Legends” series of outstanding stallions and mares. His picture is actually featured on the back cover. Mr. Gun Smoke is in the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Hall of Fame. The article makes mention of his $10,000 stud fee he commanded in his lifetime (1961-1983). You should be proud to have a Gun Smoke mare… there is a quote in the article, “If you don’t have a Gun Smoke mare in your broodmare band, you ain’t got a broodmare.” It goes on to say; It’s a proven fact. If you look at the stats at every major event and there will be a colt out of a Gun Smoke-bred mare in the finals.
