Can you fix a cosmetic scar on the back of a leg?

Young horse was clipped by its mom at turnin time prior to weaning. The wound is about 16 months old and long healed. It does not affect the soundness or the horses way of going currently. It did not hit tendon sheath

But any tips and tricks to fix it cosmetically? There is some scar tissue and some hairloss. Would a bemer or laser help with the scar tissue? DMSO/furacin? Or just leave it be. My thinking it to try and lessen the scar tissue because he’s still young and growthy and I don’t want it to start interfering with movement.

For what discipline? If it were Ranch Horse (what I show), I’d do a comb-over with some hair gel and call it good. If it is for AQHA or dressage, I’d neatly clip, then spray with livestock touch up spray —the cow people showed my kids and me how to use this --and we did for many years --improving black bay stockings, making white socks really white --Ranch Horse does not allow this type of “Improvement” so don’t use it any more. We used Shapely’s Show Touch Up – here’s a link to a cow person explaining how to use it --cow people are lightyears ahead of horse people when it comes to cosmetic improvement for showing!!
