If you find out, let us know
I’m trying, if you can be patient, I’m trying really hard, but I’m negotiating with many dutch stallions owners, and let me tell you, some are easier then others

Would love to have access to his boys so let us know!!
A friend of mine has a former GP mare in her barn in Florida (owned by a client) that is being bred to Velusinus R (a/k/a Vegas) this season. Unfortunately, the details are a little hazy, but the semen was shipped from Connecticut, supposedly from Christine Tribble (McCrea)'s mother. I don’t know that she has any other stallions available from Stal Roelof’s, but if anyone knows her it might be worth asking about.

dumb question, for sure you did this,
did you contact them direct to ask who they use as agents in the usa for semen?
just a thought.
Marieke- thank-you for doing that. Odermus R would be wonderful to have access too.

I did - and never got any resposne - tried twice.
It is very difficult to get a hold of the managers there, but finally I have had a long conversation with them. They are interested in exporting semen to the US, but very hesitant. They are of the opinion that very few people actually breed horses here in the US, they literally asked me how many foals there are truely born here. And they were not convinced that it is economically beneficially to them to export, but they are willing to give it a try.
However, they want a significant amount of the exported semen to be paid for in advance. Though I’m really willing to make these stallions (Mermus R, Odermus R and Tolan R are available for export to the US) available, financially it will be very hard for just 1 person. Cash flow you know (I don’t have 20k readily on hand, strange uh?). So I have agreed with them that I would search for clients willing to buy x doses for cost, buy some myself, and then have some more in the tank for future clients. If I can find enough people to make it work then it is a go, if not, it will be a bust. Simple as that.
Truthfully, and I find this a bit odd, but then again I can see why. Many stallion owners in the Netherlands don’t see the US as a big market. Now, most horses here in the US I suppose are German bred/descent whatever, most stallions available through frozen are Oldenburg, Hannovarian etc. So I can sort of see where they are coming from. Shame, but I’m trying to make things work.
Anyways, that is the status as it is.
Thanks so much Marieke - can you PM what they want to sell the doses for? I might be interested in buying a few to hold onto for future use.
Me too. Odermus R in particular.

Odermus R has been sold to The Stallion Company and is now in the UK.

Judy Yancey reps several of The Stallion Company stallions. You might want to check with her to see if she can get frozen from Odermus.
