I have been offered this saddle for sale and been told it is a Billy Cook.
We cannot find any maker’s marks.
Any idea what it can be? I’m not prepared to pay a Billy Cook type price if it is not a Billy Cook.
Thanks for your help!

It’s definitely not a Billy Cook- they’re marked in multiple places! Usually the seat, latigo carrier and both fenders.
Any mid-range to better quality saddle will be marked. Usually only the very low end saddles and imports aren’t.
Yeah, if it doesn’t say Billy Cook anywhere, it isn’t a Billy Cook. As the above poster said, I would be slightly wary of no markings anywhere. Most even middle of the road saddles that are made here in the US have some kind of maker’s mark on them or a serial code somewhere. Cheap imports often do not.
