Jeez…the money people have to throw around these days…If this is true, that’s a lot of money for a horse that is essentially a broodmare, and unproven at that. Sure, she is a one-of-a-kind horse with an unparalled show record. But that doesn’t mean she can produce a thing. I’ve had fabulous show mares with tremendous records that couldn’t produce anything even resembling a show horse.
If anyone has ever questioned how rumors get started…I believe this would be a good clue!!!

Totally twisting this thread, but there is a much better class of film and such being produced by Canadian filmmakers…they don’t have to conform to Hollywood, and can explore subjects that wouldn’t fly in the states. They can make a good movie without having to 1) blow everyone up, or 2) show everyone in bed with everyone else.[/B]

justme2, I am going to have to forward your post to all the Canadian producers/directors I know. Then I’ll have to send it to Telefilm, a Cdn. government agency which funds a lot of Cdn. film and television with tax payer $$. We’ve always suffered from a sense of cultural inferiority complex (cic) to American culture and it’s really suprising when Americans give us the thumbs up of approval.
Bless you for thinking Cdn. tv and film superior but the reality is 1) we want to blow sh*t up in our movies, but can’t afford to; 2) many of our best known actors aren’t terribly attractive and thus Cdn. writers rarely script love scenes.
I wish I shared your views when I was working in the industry - perhaps that’s why I left

Heidi…well bless the Canadian film industry for being so poor then…many of the more thoughtful and thought provoking movies I have seen seem to have been produced in Canada…

Yes, I too thought Porky’s was fabulous and thought provoking.
Sorry :}, couldn’t resist.
HELLO HELLO, Canadian buds, I missed the BB War on Thursday but congrats to Heidi, Jair, Canter and the rest for holding up the side.
P.S. I was trying to do the green grimace face after “Sorry” and it didn’t work…could someone share the secret? I’ll pay a big “virtual” price…

Are you joking? When/where did you hear this? Details, details!!!
Robby - I think I can also bring Big Ben back from the grave … and get myself a spot on the American Show Jumping Team … It’s all a Joke.
Yep, that was the show.
I laughed so hard I nearly fell out of bed when I heard it.
So how can I listen to this program? I’m a short wave radio junkie. Can you point me to the right frequencies for this very funny program? I am always good for a laugh.
Cheers!
Thanks Maz, we sure had fun doing it!
As for the ,
use the full colon “:” followed by the letter “D” and that will give you the big grin. Just make sure there is no space between the symbols and that you leave a space afterwards as well.
So -what did I win?
See what you could have missed while you were eating turkey?
Happy Thanksgiving from the Canadian Clique!
If you last two posters think this is serious, as opposed to serious fun, you two donÂ’t listen to enough of the CBC or Doug Â’n Bob…
My coach once told me that my horse jumps as well as Rox Dene. Canter- would you like to be in charge of taking the bids on him? Look I learned the green smiley face!!!
Damn, can take the girl out of the industry but not excise the industry out of the girl…
Thanks Dearest Jair…you won your choice, either the LifeTime Virtual Hero Status Award or a Private Virtual Orange Touque, Fleece Thong Wearing Streaking at the location of your choice.
Empahsis on the word virtual…and believe me, its for your own safety I’m afraid to say…sniff sniff…yes, that is self-pity you hear! Too much Thanksgiving food down here, I think its an American conspiracy to invite the Cdn’s over and stuff them full of turkey. I should’a stayed home w/ a 24 of Molson and heated a frozen quiche. In short, I would opt for the Lifetime Hero Status if I were you. (just testing it out).

Are you serious…She was for sale?..I should have gotten her only 20 million…LOL I wish.
Canadian sense of humor
I heard a report that a Canadian journalist interviewed George W in Detroit when he was campaigning there and told him that Canadian PM Jacques Poutine is fully supporting him for President and and looking forward to him leading us all into the 21st Centurty. And he fell for it!
Naughty, naughty!
And they wonder why all the best comedians in Hollywood are Canadian?!?!?!

WHAT??? All these years I’ve been jealous of a fellow Canadian?? Now don’t that beat all!
How Canadian are we talking here? 100%? 50%? I’m quite traumatized by this tidbit of information…

Sorry, just had to try it. What’s the deal with all of these “message icons” up here, as options?
Robby
I hear Milton is for sale too. Want me to send you a video?
Very hard to even consider a transaction of that magnitude … I can hear my non-horsey mother saying “but it’s only a horse!” So much for motherly advice. Can you imagine owning such perfection???
sigh nice horse.

Geesh, you Canucks overpaid for the mare. I have some old Confederate money here you could have used towards the purchase of that “carthorse”
