Canadian Eventers came together to denounce EC

[QUOTE=Jealoushe;9032778]
Canadian Pony Club has made a statement on EC;

This is a terrific letter from Canadian Pony Club, and I would encourage everyone to take 5 minutes and read it.

“What if our corporate view were so unified and visionary that all of our individual and unique sister organizations were able to come together under one umbrella with the goal of strengthening the entire system though our experience and willingness to work together for the greater good of the whole industry - be it sport, competition, recreation or industry contribution.”

“…the level of mistrust, anger and concern being expressed by a broad and diverse base of the stakeholder members should serve as a red flag which cannot be ignored by those who are entrusted with the present and future of our equestrian community in Canada.”

You know you are bad news when the PONY CLUB is disappointed in you lol

Bad EC

This is total speculation, I don’t know any facts or details. Jen Holling’s departure may also have been contributed by the rumour that Rob Stevenson owns a horse/horses for her husband.

Really…maybe she doesn’t want to be added into that conflict of interest game.

Love the Pony Club letter! My daughter is a member and I am an alum but may have to join Horsemasters :slight_smile:

Re: Jen Holling - resigned because of all the criticism of the selection criteria/protocols (or lack there of).

Kim Leffley (CPC National Chair) and her committee have written a well thought out letter that gets to the “heart of the issues” between EC and the critically important stakeholders of the EC organization (which EC seems to have forgotten about?). I’m proud to have been a member of Pony Club and that my children were also members. A huge thank you from so many of us for writing this letter, so it may be shared far and wide.

Keeping this in the Eventing forum, although it belongs in Dressage…

Long article in Horse Canada saying that Lauren Barwick has resigned from her Para Olympic membership - she is frank and forthright and very clear in offering her viewpoint - so many of the lengthy posts have been ‘baffle-gab’ or ‘spinning’.

Hopefully Ruth can talk some sense into them

or Peggy or Kellie - I don’t know much about the rest of them but I doubt either of these two could be easily pushed aside or ignored.

Peggy is a force. But, what if she agrees. I feel like she could put them in their place easily, but if she agrees with how it’s all running, then she would push for it to continue that way.

Sadly, I have a feeling LadyB may have it right ^. :confused: :no:
