Canadian Eventing Nations Cup Coming to Bromont 2020

Wow, so so exciting!!

Thank you Mrs. Mars, for all you do for eventing.

Would we have sport left in NA if it weren’t for her?

Yes this is great news. Congratulations to all of the Bromont committee in making this happen! 👍

This is exciting news.

Very cool!

I’m wondering if they knew that they were going to get this last year. When we were competing at Bromont CDE in July, Roger was telling us that they are going to be moving the camping area as they were going to be building an indoor arena there and they were going to be moving the camping spots. I’m not sure why they need an indoor, but perhaps to be able to bid for another WEG or ??

They are going to be updating the hydro (badly needed!) and water hook ups and moving the whole camping area somewhere but they didn’t quite know where. We were actually thinking of not attending Bromont in 2020 as I bet it will be being worked on/built like crazy.

Its really nice to see upgrades and changes though as its such a beautiful facility, it just needs a few little “touch ups”.

We had a couple of shows (indoor and outdoor) at the new facility in Becancour at the Complexe Equestriane and it is quite the place! They were under major construction when we went, but I see a lot of potential with those grounds as well. We plan on doing a few more shows this coming year there and can’t wait to see the progress that was made! We are friends with the manager there and saw her again at the Royal last month. She said that everything is done and its quite the facility. She used to run Bromont and retired, but the owners of the Complexe spoke with her a year ago to get her on board.

It is really exciting, if Bromont continues to be a success it could open the door up for an eventual 5* in Canada.

My daughter has a nice horse again, finally, so there’s a good chance we will make it there in 2020. It is one big event that I have not yet seen, so WOOP!

Announced today that Parc Equestre Bromont it up for sale (Google can translate if you open using Chrome): https://www.lavoixdelest.ca/actualites/le-site-equestre-de-bromont-mis-en-vente-4c2ee9d26031f127a500ee9f108051bc?fbclid=IwAR27K4LQVH9F6CeMgNqIw1Qc9UegpqptNosvQE4NzpsjaOvY4yiaJpe9R7g

Any idea what this means for next year’s events, including the Nations Cup? I was planning to go in August to volunteer/watch.

It’s been for sale for years I believe.

Yes, Bromont has been for sale for many years. The back has been sold off a couple of years ago and is now houses :frowning:

Thanks - I thought as it was a new article they were announcing this as something new. Fingers crossed that next year’s events are unaffected.
