My husband and I have noticed that after a couple of weeks on Cosequin for Canines that our older golden retriever is getting up and down on the sofa a lot easier and more frequently . Obviously, this supplement is working for her.
DH and I are trying to figure out if she needs to have the canine version (600 mg glucosamine, 300 mg chondroitin, and 250 mg msm with a loading dose for a month of double those amounts) or if she would be fine on the Costco people version that has 1500 mg of glucosamine, 1200 chondroitin, and 1500 of msm. We could buy the the Costco people version without the msm. The Costco version for people is much cheaper, but I do not want to put this dog in harm’s way either.
I would welcome the CoTH wisdom and actually DH has come to believe it in as well…except for when there’s a train wreck or a whackadoodle, but those are readily identified.
