Yes, he married Clementine Goutal (Brianne’s sister) just about a month ago.

Sophie was a very accomplished equitation rider in the early 2000’s with Missy Clark and Kathy Fletcher. She had the ride on Grappa in 2003 and won the NE Finals and was 8th at USET.
I didn’t realize Andreas’ wife was Clementine Goutal. How tragic for all families involved.

Except the original article’s updates linked in the first post, which are saying she died and he’s in critical, but their last update identifying him and reporting the condition was just before 1pm EST so the news station may not have updated yet.
Yes he was clementines husband. I don’t think they’ve even been married a month.
Jeez - what am I reading?? This is so sad. I remember looking at the photos of their wedding online and it was so beautiful. My thoughts to everyone connected to the accident :((

His death was announced on his professional Facebook page earlier this afternoon. There is no question that both he and Sophie passed away. Very sad.
Very sad for both families, it is a terrible way to loose someone you love.
