The most up to date PBP article said ‘critical’. Of course I’ve also seen both listed as driver and both as passenger, so may be too soon for final details.
Maybe it’s a little early in the thread for this but what I see above is people concerned for Andres (other than a nod to “both families”…thank you). I see “Hope he is going to be OK”. “I love his skills.” “I’ll be keeping him in my prayers”. “How is his condition”. “He was just married”…etc. How about a prayer or a thought for the woman who was killed? Does he get all this attention just because he is a Grand Prix rider? What about his passenger, the amateur rider? No one has offered much in the way of a prayer for the victim in what was LIKELY (but not certainly, so don’t make me zip up the flame suit just yet) the driver’s fault. Statistically, a lot of one-car crashes in the wee hours are linked to excessive speed, or booze, or both and I admit we don’t know anything about this one, yet. But prayers to everyone affected by this terrible accident.

I do not see any reason to dump on people who are expressing concern. I am sorry that their concern is not how you would like it expressed but it seems silly to dump on them.
I am sending jingles to both camps. Horrible accidents suck.

I just saw confirmation on Andres’ FB that he did pass away.
So sad. Prayers for both families. I think most people were asking about Andres because he was still holding on. I don’t think he is getting any more “attention” than Sophie. They were both very loved by many people.

From his page on FB…It is with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that Andres Rodriguez and his passenger Sophie Walker suffered a tragic car accident on Monday morning in Wellington, Florida. Circumstances of the accident are still unclear.
Sophie walker passed away in the accident and despite all efforts Andres passed away a few hours later. We are lost for words. Our prayers and thoughts go to Sophie’s family, to Andres’ wife And family. RIP Chepito. ???
