Caring for "brushed" leather boots

I recently bought DeNiro brushed leather boots and am wondering how to care for them, other than DeNiro Boot Cream. If you’re not familiar with brushed leather, it’s shiny due to a lacquer that’s applied to the leather. My tack shop has the boot cream on backorder, and the estimated in-stock date has moved from 3/22 to 3/28 to (for now) 4/4. I am wondering whether products for patent leather (also a lacquer) will be ok for brushed leather.

Wouldn’t a local cobbler/shoe shop/Amazon have suitable products?

ETA Possibly contact the manufacturer direct and purchase from them?

I just use a damp cloth and buff dry.

I don’t do anything for mine except wipe them off. They are 5-6 years old and scratched up but no worse than any other tall boot.
