Carol Loomis has passed--any information?

Carol Loomis, of Mallien, Macungie, PA, passed away on April 20 after a long illness. I was one of her friends and sometime students, and I am trying to put together an obituary for her. I’d appreciate any information anyone would be willing to share, not only about her life in the equestrian world but outside it as well.

Carol taught at Hunterdon during the l980s, was an AHSA judge, and was a professor at Penn State during the l970s. However, she shared very little information about her private life. She taught me a lot, and many others, and I’d like to think she is remembered.

I went to carol when I was 12 years old for a week and rode all of her horses and she was a judge for one of the A rated shows I was at and sent me to pony finals.
