Does anyone have any experience with 3rd carpal bone fracture and a fibrous union coming back apart? Who has done surgery and what has your outcome been? Return to full work and competing/jumping/racing/soundness? Trying to make some difficult decisions for my girl. Thank You.
Are you asking about the hind or front legs. Though in hind legs/hocks, Tarsus it is usually called the tarsal carpal bones but I have seen seen diagrams of the hind leg that just uses, “carpal bone”.
In either case IME it comes down to the type, natural, location of the fracture.
I’m speaking of the front leg. I am sure each case is different just wondered if there were any success or failure stores.
