Cat breeds--help me choose?

I love my Siamese. I’ve got numbers 3 & 4 right now, who are both in various states of decline.

I just put my name on the waiting list of a breeder in OH for #5. Wonder of wonders, they simply sell cats! No word of adoption, references or wacked out requirements like 24/7 companionship. They just breed apple heads & classics (finer than apples but not to wedge head extreme) cats for pets, at a somewhat reasonable price.

I grew up with Siamese and Burmese cats. And while I loved them, they were LOUD. Especially at night.

One of my Burmese was very docile, and she used to let me dress her up in my doll clothes. She was so sweet and patient. (But still loud at night!)

ETA: Both of the Burmese also had serious health problems when they got older. And they are prone to eye issues. The one I mentioned above had to have an eye removed due to it. And the other developed IBS.

My shelter cat is now 15 years old and has never been sick a day in her life. (Other than growing a fatty tumor on her tail that had to be removed)
