Cat condos:

PSA for those with cats, feral or not.

For those of you managing cats, if you have a bit of extra money, considering having one of those around for cats to lounge in and in a pinch, a new cat or sick/ injured one that needs confining, they can live in there for a while, with a litter pan on the bottom.
Cat breeders use those, some have caster wheels so you can roll them from one place to another.
They come in different styles and sizes:

If you have one around the cats are familiar with, it makes it much easier to keep one in there and happy if you have to.
If you need privacy for a cat, you can partially cover it also, like starting a feral kitten in there.

My cat sleeps in one of these cages. Due to his weight, we had to make custom, oversized, reinforced shelves for him.

If he doesn’t sleep in the cage, no one in the house sleeps. He’s a noisy, self-aggrandizing nuisance at night. The cage was the perfect solution.

Because he gets fed in his cage at night, he is always happy to hop into it. He’ll sleep in there on his own during the day, too.
