Anyone here have any info on Catoki breedings? Semen quality, what he typically throws, what he crosses well with? Also where you’ve gotten the semen from.
Was looking at Carrico for my mare but owner said he crosses better with lighter boned mare, so I’m looking at Catoki, his sire.

I think Global Equine Sires might have some frozen still. SES used to carry him but I don’t think they do anymore. You could also check with Paul Schockemohle. I don’t have first hand experience with using him but I have heard that frozen quality was often not good and the people I know who did have success with him frozen had very good vets.
He can be a good choice for a bigger, stronger framed mare for a more modern foal.
