Cavallo boots

Black a Friday…. Does anyone have experience with the Cavallo riding boots from Hufglocken?

I haven’t, but I was wasting time yesterday and their ad came across Facebook so I built my dream pair… the message at the end said " you have added $2365 to the base price." Well, that won’t be happening!

I’m looking at the new buck olive color……

I got a custom made pair of the polo boots in the Nubuck leather. They came out too short (could have been my fault, but I ordered the same height in Celeris and they are about 2cm taller, so I’d double check how height is measured). Even though I never wore them a lot, the piping at.rhe top started to fray quickly (like less than 20 rides), which has not happened with my Celeris boots, which have been my primary boots for 1.5 years. The anthracite leather was also a light gray, not near black, so I’ve tried did things over time to darken them. So over all, not a fan.

LOL, did you add diamond trim? Most extras on Celeris boots are no upcharge. I’ve heard good things about Gallors boots too.

The UK Trustpilot reviews are fairly bad so it’s a company I personally would avoid.

I always ordered the Mattes pads from them and had good customer service but the shipping was incredibly slow and eventually they lost their contract with Mattes. I have never ordered the boots.

FWIW around maybe 2015 I bought a pair of Cavallo dressage boots that up to that point were the most expensive tall boots I had ever purchased. I was quite dismayed when the leather developed a hole in the ankle with not that much use. I don’t remember exactly how long, but less than a year I think. It was short enough that I contacted the tack shop in Florida to express disappointment and see if he could offer anything (the answer was basically “too bad, so sad”). I recently bought some Cavallos again but they were on consignment for a fraction of the price, so if they only last a year or two it’s okay.

Thanks all.

I bought some non-custom Cavallo dressage boots. They did not stretch much (I ended up taking them to a cobbler to stretch a little) but overall I was pleased - they help up for several years of wearing mostly just for shows. I still have them just no longer show.

Not from there, but I bought a pair 7-8 years ago and they have held up well. Last year I had them resoled and replaced the zippers.
