“According to a study conducted by Evan C. Rosenberg, Richard W. Tsien, Benjamin J. Whalley, and Orrin Devinsky, CBD gradually reduces the number of seizures to null. Moreover, its interaction with the endocannabinoid receptors prevents neurotoxicity caused by seizures.”

I was thinking whether you already tried it and how it works? Does it really help?
I аm expecting my CBD oil in a few days… Hope it works!
This is probably spam. But FWIW, the link is to a study that is not about seizures or about dogs. (It was testing the use of CBD to control anxiety of rats in a maze.) I didn’t bother clicking the link which is probably trying to sell CBD oil.
I keep very complete, daily records of all of our horses and dogs as needed. The dog, Mako’s seizures began about 3 years ago when she was just 4.
It started with just one seizure every few months and escalated over the years to multiple ones in a cluster every 2-3 months…then every 5-6 weeks with as many as 6-8 over 2-3 days. Our dog weighs over 140 pounds so a seizure is a major event. She is so strong that we have to gently hold her or she shoves herself under beds, sofas and other dangerous places.
As of July '18 she was having two episodes a month, then one in Aug over 3 days, then one in Sept. In November she had 9 over three days. Between “spells” she was perfectly normal.
I researched every article on canine seizures and well as CBD oil for treating seizures in children and adults. My very close friend and vet (she has a full sister to our dog who has no seizures) agreed that I could/should try CBD, but as a vet could not “say” she endorsed the use because it is not approved by any veterinarian associations. I began CBD oil at Thanksgiving, 2018. Twice daily.
She had no seizures until Feb. 2019 when she had 5. Then nothing at all until April 6, 2019 when she had 4 in one day…not as violent as previous ones. Since then she has not had any…yet! I am sure it is helping my dog…Each person has to make their own opinion!
I’m convinced by my results that it works…a 140 pound dog having grand mal seizures every hour or two gets really ugly…whatever stops them is a good remedy in my book!!
