Has anyone tried CBD oil or pellets for their horses? If so, how was your experience? What company did you purchase from?
Im currently looking to purchase thru “HolistaPet”, but wanted more info before doing so.
No experience, but recognize that CBD is a banned substance if you show.
I’ve had my mare on CBD pellets for probably 6 months now and felt it has had positive effects. She has separation anxiety and general worry. All those behaviors seem to have markedly reduced. The big test will be tomorrow when I move her home. In the past, she walks/runs a fence and cannot settle down. For weeks.
In the years I’ve had her she’s moved three times and each had quite a bit of stress for her. I’ll post back later to report if I notice her being more relaxed this time.
The brand I use is Better Life and was recommended by my vet.
