If they even get a race put together, who’s going to show up for that low of a purse?
Though it would be a benefit to CC to have a prep race before the Pegasaus.
Guess we’ll have to wait & see

Nice sentimental send off. They will get some trainers to enter only if for blacktype recognition. Place and show, along with a little of the purse, even if finishing a couple furlongs back, might be worth it.
Yes, you’re right.
I wasn’t thinking of those with horses that might not normally get a chance to run in this type of race.
I personally think it would be a great way to “give back” so to speak to the fans & track that has been home to CC.
I think its pretty neat. Good for them for doing it and a great opportunity for other horses based locally to compete. Wouldn’'t it be funny if he got beat though LOL.
But I think other big namers might just show up to something like this with some horses to compete. Would be great for the track though!!
But I’d also have to chime in and say it’d be more worth it to get him to Gulfstream, enter him in something there that suits their fancy, leave him there in training and be ready for his last race. I do, however, do not see the point in entering him in a race before the Peg; the horse is pretty well versed; he just needs to keep training towards his final show.
It will be a $ 60,000 work for CC on his home track. Artie trains for Doc Allred and they close the track to other horses on the days CC works until he’s finished working so he doesn’t have to deal with the Los AL craziness. It’s a good thing he doesn’t have to ship to get a race in him before the 12M race Win/win for CC
