anyone have any experience with this barn or the BO Kathy Elliot? Feel free to pm me - we are checking out barns and this one seems dressage oriented (all the shows they hold seem to be dressage shows) even though they have h/j facilities as well.
I thought maybe someone in this forum might board there or have boarded there.

I have not boarded there but attended and also volunteered at a few shows. Very nice folks from my experience and super footing in the arenas
Like Kathy, I’ve only been there for shows. Their indoor is really, really nice! They also have a large outdoor for jumping and a seperate dressage arena.
They’re very nice. Kathy has a very lovely place. If I could afford it I’d switch to her barn.

I have also considered going there but the price is a bit high, and they seen to nickel and dime you on shavings/feed. You can’t beat the indoor and the outdoor facilities! I also don’t think they have any trails around. Although my preference is in Dressage/Eventing and showing I like the flexibility to hack out once and awhile. If anybody knows of any good care barns in the Alexandria/Lorton/Fairfax area let me know!

The cost of your feed, hay, and bedding puts the board at what an indoor of that quality should cost. You also have choice of what to feed, how deep your bedding, how much hay. Horses in the fields with friends get a hay roll.
The people there are friendly–no DQ’s that I’m aware of. There are lots of dressage and jumping instructors who come.
You need to visit for a little while.
