Ceecoach question

If I’m just one person with one instructor, I can buy the $199 single Ceecoach system, right? I don’t need something else? Is there some additional feature I should consider as well? Is there some alternative product that I should consider? My aging ears can’t hear my instructor any more and I need help.

The single system for 199 is just a single unit (I’m guessing sold to add to an existing system). For a trainer/student setup you need at least 2 units…the duo system for $349. My trainer uses these and us students absolutely love it. Every so often, though
, (6-12months) they stop working and I have to update the software and they work again (all instructions are in the manual on how to do this). I expect your units will see much less use (she uses hers for 6-10 lessons a day, 5 days a week) so you may never have to do this.

You’ll need the one that has 2, not the single add on. It’s $349. I love mine.

If I have more than one instructor, is it going to be gross to ask them to put something in their ear that has been in the other’s ear?

No. We are horse people. Instructors are mostly not that precious.

Ha, good point SIlverbridge. Ok, Scruffy, you buy it first and tell me if it’s easier to set up than my Pixio lol

Like others have said you need the duo to be able to work with a trainer unless your trainer already owns one.

I have one and really like it. My one complaint is that I tried using an alternative headset with it because some instructors don’t love the kind they come with and it wouldn’t pair using the other headset. The headset we tried with was the wrap around head kind from eartec, but I thought that any headphones with a mic should work…apparently not…

@Drsgqn thanks for the tip on the software updates! I haven’t had any issues but have heard lots of others complaining about reliability past the 1 year warranty and this sounds like a potential fix if I run into that.

Though your question has been answered, I just wanted to chime in as well - mostly because when I was researching them I found very little testimonials.

I coach minimally - usually 5 lessons per week, and received a Ceecoach for Christmas. I love it, hands down. I’ve only ever used it with 1 student at a time as my lessons are Privates but I dread the day I forget them at home and have to go back to yelling across a 200ft arena. The batteries last a very long time, the earpieces are very comfortable, and they’re light and excellent quality. They cut out on me once when I had a fat cat laying on it and my student was at the very end of the arena, but otherwise they’re excellent. Beyond that, the only issue I had once was they started cutting out where my student could hear me, but I couldn’t hear them then it would sync back up. I did a system update and it hasn’t done it since. Overall, really happy with them!
