Here in Aus, a lot of arthritis / joint herbal blends are made with celery seeds - yet a search of this forum (the fountain of knowledge) reveals no-one talking about it.
A Google search shows that our now-defunct version of COTH (Cyberhorse) had multiple threads related to celery seeds dating back to the early 2000s, and there are heaps of Aussie horse groups on Facey that also recommend it. Apparently the dose is 10-20g / day.
So, I’m curious if this is a “remedy” used in America / UK at all, or if it is a local oddity. The turmeric of the pre-Facey era.
Celery seeds are sold at the local Chemist Warehouse for arthritis in people, but then again they also sell sheep placentas so I’m taking that with a grain of vegetable stock.
Am I going to try it out on my horse? Absolutely. The worst it can do is turn his breath into soup, right?
