Centurion Laser Shower

I have a horse who has been mysteriously lame for around 2 months on a hind limb. After lots of vet exams, I know a lot about what it isn’t. It still could be high soft tissue, a muscle tear, or pelvic. Treatment plan is to
turn the horse out and consider his future at the 6 month mark.

In the meantime, I’d like to do something for the horse. I’ve had a lot of luck with laser helping to relieve SI soreness and extend time between joint injections for my other horse. I was wondering if anyone has experience using the Centurion Laser Shower for general, undefined lameness (thinking I’d use the acupuncture probe, and/or laser his hind end every few days), and/or like I described for joint pain? I could justify renting or buying a used one if I can use it on both my horses. And I guess in general what your experience was with the Laser Shower, and if you think it was worth it?

I haven’t used that but I’ve tried similar for similar types of generalized issues. I have to say even focusing on acupuncture meridians and trigger points and whatnot, it takes forever to laser an area like that, and so I found a problem with patient compliance (meaning me, taking the time on a regular basis).

I started using the Assisi Loop instead. It’s a PEMF device, but I can tape it onto the horse while grooming or something and move it once or twice a cycle if necessary. You need a vet’s prescription for it–I get mine through my chiro/acupuncture vet. I thought PEMF was kind of woo-woo, but my horse goes to sleep with it on, and it seems to maybe help his neck and SI issues. The vet that suggested it tends to be pretty skeptical about a lot of those types of things, but this device seems to have some decent research behind it. Like, she says some of the other PEMF type devices have about as much power as a “tv remote”.
